Hello, My Beauties,

I’ve never been happier to see the rear-view of a month than I was to see April fade into the ether. May is here, with her splashes of sunshine. I love spring, from the candy-sweet fragrance of my neighbor’s lilac bush to the caress of a spring breeze on my bare skin.

It’s intoxicating.

And to top it all off, I’m bursting with words and thoughts to share about the incredible collection of delectable short stories, Chemical [se]X 2: Just one More.

Visit Chemical [se]X 2: Just One More on Goodreads for more information on where to purchase this searingly hot collection.

I love chocolate and I adore smut, so when asked to read and review this collection of erotica from some of my favorite smut Goddesses, I decided to take a detour on my EroticAdventure.

I’m demanding when it comes to my erotica, like a Femme Domme with a flogger and an itch to make a pretty boy (or girl) cry. I want my sexy filth smart, full of wit and character, and focused on the sensuality of the experience, not the money shot.

Magic, too. I’m a sucker for sex magic.

Chemical [se]X 2: Just One More delivers on all fronts. The 14 stories in the collection revolve around mouth-watering treats that are rumored to contain a powerful aphrodisiac. It’s a thoughtful, clever way to weave together stories from a group of authors who are each powerful wordsmiths with their own unique style.

The writing is delicious from start to finish. Author after author delivers their own vision of the power unleashed when their characters partake of the lust-laced chocolates. Editors, Oleander Plume, Dr. J., and Mischa Eliot did a remarkable job bringing together pieces that can stand on their own and work within the parameters of this shared universe.

The stories are scorching hot without feeling repetitive. Each author included brings a different set of characters to the table. Diverse situations, individuals, and lovers kept me hungry from start to finish.

Seriously, I like my erotica to be thoughtful and have elements of what real folks do when they’re fucking, and that includes mentions of lube, laughter, and consent. I don’t care if the story is set Underworld, a campsite, or someone’s living room.

Again, Chemical [se]X 2: Just One More was all I wanted and more.

Most readers are going to find at least one character (I’d reckon more than one) they can relate to and who will ignite their fantasies. You’ll find characters stretching across the spectrum of human sexuality and gender, and some who are far beyond.

There’s mention of fairies in my favorite tale of the bunch, “Come Away with the Sweet Fairies” by Jayne Renault. A certain large-footed forest-dwelling creature makes an appearance in Angora Shade’s “Beast.” If you’re looking for an erotic adventure closer to your own realm, check out the stomach-swooping “Well Suited” by Oleander Plume or the fantasy fodder of Ria Restrepo’s “Elevator Confidential.”

And those are just a few. Every single story in this collection is worth your time.

Chemical [se]X 2: Just One More was a great read and a treat for the senses, just be warned, you’ll be craving more than chocolate when you’re finished reading.

Curious about where the EroticAdventure is leading? Check me out on Goodreads for a road map of the sexy tour of erotica through the ages I’m taking this year!
